Long has been linked with the likes of West Brom, Sunderland, Everton and Newcastle from the Premier League, but Leicester are trying to complete a deal under their noses.
Eriksson, however, accepts the Foxes may miss out.
"Long is one on the list but he may end up in the Premier League," said Eriksson.
"We are working on one or two more and if we do that it's going to be a big name."
